Despite the ongoing challenges of navigating the coronavirus pandemic, venues from across the MPW Restaurants estate are giving foodies an added incentive to eat out on Thursday night.
It means those who enjoy a weekly ritual of enjoying a sumptuous steak dinner can visit any one of the participating restaurants where a special Thursday ‘steak night’ menu has been put together to satisfy those early weekend steak fixes.
Jason Everett, executive head chef said: “Steak has remained one of the most popular dinner items for decades and the UK’s appetite for a juicy rump, sirloin, ribeye or fillet is as popular as ever.
“The idea behind our new Steak Night is to give guests the chance to kick off their weekends by enjoying a delicious but simply cooked steak in a Marco Pierre White restaurant.
“It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a family meal out, afterwork treat or even the date night you’ve talked about since March!”
Marco added: “Steak and chips is a perpetual favourite among our guests. What we find is that to really make the dish sing you need the best quality meat. We use Campbell Brothers as the consistency and quality is what we are looking for.
“And to get the best flavour, instead of anointing the steaks with olive oil, I mix the oil into a paste with a stock cube and paint it on both sides. Cooking is all about adding flavour and often use a stock cube instead of salt.”
Steak Night will become available from 15 October and includes butcher’s steak and chips, piccolo tomatoes, béarnaise sauce and a glass of Jean-Luc Columbo wine, pint of draught beer or a soft drink.
