Two of the UK’s most renowned chefs have launched a new menu at their restaurant in Bath.
Pierre Koffmann and Marco Pierre White are now looking forward to welcoming diners to their restaurant at The Abbey Hotel, who want to enjoy a meal out that includes a mix of classic English and French dishes.
Called Koffmann and Mr White’s the understated decor of the restaurant reflects the down-to-earth ambience and classic nature of the food on offer, which makes customers think they’ve been transported to the bistros of Paris.
With a nod to its French influence, the restaurant oozes sophistication and romance and since opening guests have been treated to some fabulous cuisine.
Opened in the Autumn of 2018, the two culinary heavyweights have now given the menu a major overhaul and features an exciting range of new dishes that reflects their passion for simplicity.

On the mains there are a number of new eye-catching dishes including Couscous D’agneau; Grilled Aubergine à la Niçoise, aubergine caviar, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella; Poussin grillé, épices douces aîoli; Fresh battered Cod, triple cooked chips, marrowfat peas, tartare sauce; Duck confit, puy lentils and Courgette, cumin, hazelnut pearl barley fritter.
Guests can also find indulgence with a dessert menu that also includes some new additions such as Vanilla Pana Cotta with seasonal berries; The Boxtree Mess; Baba au rum, Chantilly cream; Tarte au citron; Oeufs à la neige.
Marco said: “When we opened, I said at the time that for many, many, many years I reflected on my career and one of my deepest regrets was not spending more time with Pierre in the kitchen so it’s great to bring out this new menu.
“We both like to keep things simple and we’re looking forward to sharing our passion for delicious, classical food and ingredients with our diners.”
Josh Watts, general manager at the Abbey Hotel added: “These two culinary power houses have a similar vision of classic dining that appeals to the discerning customer looking for good quality, affordable food in a relaxed, stylish and unpretentious environment.
“They were without doubt the two most charismatic and famous chefs across the London restaurant scene back in the 80s, 90s and 00s so it’s hugely exciting to have them both work on this new menu.
“You can certainly see the influence of both Pierre and Marco on the menu, the only trouble being deciding which dishes to select!”
